AQUAFIT PROGRAM SUMMARY
Aquafit exercises at Extreme Fitness are conducted in salt-water swimming pools led by certified Group Fitness Instructors. Our highly experienced fitness instructors will guide you through various exercise routines performed in the water involving both upper and lower body. You don't need to be a swimmer to enjoy this water-based fitness class. Aquafit routines are well-suited for all age groups and are an ideal form of exercise for pregnant women, seniors, overweight individuals, anyone recovering from an injury or surgery or suffering from arthritis or other chronic illnesses.
WHY AQUAFIT?
Aquafit group fitness classes are suitable for all age groups. They are geared to the development of aerobic capacity, flexibility and strength using the water to provide resistance and minimize the effects of impact. Because water is buoyant, it creates an upward force against the body. As a result, it naturally cushions your joints and muscles against stress, especially your spine, knees and hips that are more prone to injury from high-impact exercises. Since water is thicker than air, it provides resistance that makes exercising in water more challenging. Exercising in water also provides multi-directional resistance hence is it one of the best cardio programs going.
