MUAY THAI PROGRAM SUMMARY
Muay Thai is the ‘Art of Eight Limbs.’ Created by the people of Thailand, it is an in-close style of fighting that incorporates hands, feet, knees and elbows. Skipping, bag work and partner drills with focus pads ensure a high-intensity workout. Personal boxing gloves and wraps are required for this Group Fitness class. At Extreme Fitness, class begins with an intense warm up, including jumping rope, shadow boxing and other bodyweight exercises. Pad work and drilling with a partner follows to develop power, timing and speed. You will learn Muay Thai from our Group Fitness Instructors who are experts in Muay Thai.
Muay Thai is an excellent workout to strengthen and tone your body. It will also help improve your co-ordination and balance, develop timing, speed, agility and flexibility. Consistent practice can help you reduce weight. In the process you will learn a new skill for self-defense and boost your self-confidence.
