YOGA CLASSES
Yoga is one of the oldest forms of organized exercise known to man, possibly dating back more than 5,000 years. Its popularity and resurgence in recent years is a testament to its staying power and benefits as a tried and true exercise regimen. Often noted for its physical challenges, the spiritual and Eastern philosophy of the practice is still popular, even among Westernized participants. Yoga teaches you to control your body as you move through traditional postures and poses (asana). Yoga also focuses on conscious breathing (pranayama) and mental focus to develop awareness, strength, flexibility and relaxation. Hatha (or basic) Yoga is the most popular practice for participants of all levels, however, Yoga has many different classifications and difficulty levels.
HOW THIS PROGRAM CAN BENEFIT YOU

- Stress release through meditation and breathing exercises
- Detoxification of impurities in the body through sweat, particularly during Hot Yoga sessions

PROGRAM FEATURE
Our Yoga Instructors all go through an intensive Yoga training requiring a minimum of 200 hours of learning and practice. Yoga Instructors are also often the living embodiment of the philosophic side of the practice. They work to create a stress-free environment in class. And through breathing and meditation, along with the physical practice of moving through poses, they take you to away from the every day.
Yoga Classes vary in length from 60 to 90 minutes. We recommend you bring your own mat, however, a limited number of complimentary mats are provided at most Extreme locations. Comfortable loose-fitting clothes are recommended to allow freedom of movement through the poses. You should also always bring water to class.
